Matt Crane - FOUNDER ASF

Group Head SATS Global Innovation Centre UK and Singapore, Director at Monty's Bakehouse

I have worked in aviation catering and F&B supply for over 20 years and specialised in sustainable packaging materials and product design.

The Aviation Sustainability Forum is a natural extension of my passion for a sustainable future for aviation and to see all colleagues and organisations in our sector work together to create a circular, sustainable and responsible future for the products and services offered to our passengers.

Sarah Klatt-Walsh - FOUNDER ASF

Founder and Owner, Sarah Klatt Consulting

With 35 years of experience in the airline industry (catering, airlines and supply side), I have overseen global Catering Operations, developed and led Product & Service Strategy and Execution,  and ensured the Customer Experience reflects corporate DNA.

Wanting to bring more purpose into my work, I am now leading FORMIA’s sustainability journey. This experience aligns with and supports my work at the ASF.  I do believe that environmentally responsible travel is possible when all parties involved are willing to join up and make the significant changes necessary to reduce our collective footprint. This also reflects the goals of the ASF, and what excites me about the organisation!

Mike Pooley ASF
Mike pooley - FOUNDER ASF

Founder & Managing Director – purpose-made solutions limited

I can call on 40 years of global hospitality and foodservice experience including 20 years with gategroup managing product and service offers from design through to delivery.

I place the highest value on a business organisation’s capacity to change for the better and to take hands on responsibility for realising a sustainable future for their company, their colleagues and the sector and supply chain in which they operate.

ALISON WELLS - HEAD OF MARKETING AND COMMUNICATIONS - ASF

FOUNDER, OWNER & MANAGING DIRECTOR – PLANE TALKING PRODUCTS LIMITED

I am a passenger product development specialist and have spent 25 years working on materials development and selection as well as product design at Watermark Asia before founding Plane Talking Products in the UK.

As a supplier to many of the world’s leading Airlines I bring to the ASF a high level of experience in product & material sourcing and procurement to ensure sustainability at source and optimal recovery and recycling downstream.

Karen Mackenzie - Head of Membership – ASF

I have over 30 years of experience in the aviation sector holding leading roles in finance and procurement, and most recently as Head of Global Supply Chain for British Airways inflight product and retail.

I am now a supply chain and finance consultant as well as a mentor for senior leaders and young people.

I firmly believe that to embrace circularity for passenger inflight products and services, the aviation sector must accept supply chain disruption and the ASF provides a pathway to achieve this.
